Korea, 1920: Das Land ist von der brutalen Kolonialmacht Japan besetzt. Lee Jang-ha, ein junger Truppenführer der koreanischen Unabhängigkeitsarmee, soll in einem Himmelfahrtskommando ein japanisches Elite-Bataillon in eine tödliche Falle locken. Während der Mission trifft er auf seinen ehemaligen Mentor Hwang Hae-chul. Der Hauptmann einer kampferprobten Widerstandsgruppe beschließt, Lee zu helfen: Gemeinsam gelingt es ihnen, die feindlichen Einheiten zu ködern und an der Nase herumzuführen.
