Mit Schrecken muss der etwas naive Matt (Karl Rice) eines Morgens feststellen, dass sein älterer Bruder Deco (Eoin Duffy) nach einer seiner Zechtouren als Vampir nach Hause kommt. Im weiteren Verlauf dieses verrückten Tages lernt Matt auch noch den Taxifahrer Henry (Anthony Head) kennen. Seit dessen Verlobte Sheila (Mary Murray) zu einer Blutsaugerin wurde, betätigt der sich nun als Vampirjäger. Wie sich herausstellt, war es zufälligerweise Sheila, die Deco gebissen und zum Monster gemacht hat. Mit allen Mitteln versucht Henry den von der Situation komplett überforderten Matt davon zu überzeugen, seinem Bruder einen Holzpflock durchs Herz zu rammen. Bevor der junge Mann sich aber entscheiden kann, ob Vernunft oder familiäre Loyalität die Oberhand behalten soll, hat er plötzlich noch viel dringendere Probleme.
